To my patients and friends.  

It has been a great privilege and adventure for me to start off 13 years ago with Dr. Shawn Allen and grow this practice to where it is today.   My years here have been filled with many rewarding experiences and memorable patients.    I will now be concentrating more on hospital medicine, so I will not be practicing traditional family medicine.  I have transferred my practice to my partner, Dr. Shawn Allen effective January 1st, 2016.  

 

Chris Baker, our fantastic physician assistant, will remain in the practice.    

As most of you have experienced first-hand over the last few years, Chris Baker is an extremely dedicated and superb clinician and simply is a fantastic person.  He has more or less been handling the everyday issues for you for the last two years with an occasional assist from me.  Dr. Shawn Allen will now serve as his supervisory physician and provide an additional view to your medical situation with her 15+ years of experience.  Our stellar office staff will all remain as is so that you will not experience any undue hardship during this change.  Essentially there will be no disruption to your care. 

Desert Oasis Healthcare patients will have their primary provider AUTOMATICALLY be changed over on January 1st by the health plan to Dr. Shawn Allen.  You DO NOT have to do anything to remain in this practice.

 Non-Desert Oasis Healthcare patients who have PPO insurance will NOT need to have anything changed to remain patients of this practice.  

If, for whatever reason, you decide to be treated elsewhere, I will be happy to provide your new doctor with copies of the necessary records from your file
