What will I be doing for work?

My kids are now 9 and 11.   I can see them growing up quickly.  I’d like to be there for them before they reach the teenage years.

I have grown to enjoy working in the hospital as a “hospitalist”.  I like helping patients when they are ill enough to be in the hospital.   It requires  a different set of diagnostic acumen and also a different type of empathy than the outpatient office.  I will be working 10 to 12 shifts per month as the JFK hospital physician.

I also am the medical director of informatics at the hospital.  This is where I use by technical computer savvy and combine it with my clinical skills to assist physicians and the hospital staff to optimize the electronic medical record system.
